Jimmy Cales

June 3, 1945 — April 18, 2017

Jimmy Wayne Cales, 71 of Adair, passed away on April 18, 2017 in his home. He was born on June 3, 1945 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma; the son of Darrell and Delma (Bradley) Cales. Jimmy grew up and attended school in Adair. After graduating in 1963 from high school, he went to California and lived with his aunt Lou and Uncle Gordon. He later joined the Army National Guard. Jimmy also attended Okmulgee Tech from 1965-1969 for plumbing and pipefitting and went to work in Alaska on the pipeline. He loved traveling all over the U.S. with his job. He also loved traveling with his friends on the motorcycles to Sturgis, Parsons, Daytona and many other adventures. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Southside Christian church with Reverend Ken Gerhart officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2017 in the Shipman' s Funeral Home Chapel. Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Britney Wassom and husband Jeremy of Chouteau, Ashton Helmuth and husband Jake of Chouteau, Chyenne Livingston and Fiancée' Trent Greenwalt of Vinita, Oklahoma; brother, Gene Cales and wife Diane of Utah; 5 grandchildren, Averi, Jake, Lexi, Amelia and Hunter. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Delma Cales.
