Jody Corn

Lydia "Jody" Corn, 71, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2011 at her home. She was born on May 29, 1939 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of George E. Artis and Mary M. (Bane) Artis. She married Billie Corn on February 14, 1981 in Dallas, Texas. She worked as a cook for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Jody enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and camping. She was a wonderful cook who enjoyed cooking and baking for everyone. Jody was a lovely lady who will be so very missed by her family and friends. Funeral Services for Jody will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Tim Mahurin officiating. Interment will be in the Chouteau North Cemetery at Chouteau, Oklahoma with Michael Rauch, David Smith, Sean Henderson, Joseph Smith, Kyle Rauch, Joshua Kisner, Brian Piland and Doug Piland serving as casket bearers. Rauch, Jr. of Grandview, MO; her daughters, Mary Kay and husband, Robin Thomas of Waynesburg, PA, Raelene and husband, Ed Henderson of Edmond, OK, Linda S. and husband, Leonard Smith of Pleasant Hill, MO; her sisters, Dorothy Marty of Madison, WI, Jacquelyn Childers of Arksdale, WI, Beverly Basoglu of Fairfax, VA and Vera Estep of Mt. Morris, MI; her brothers, Bill Artis of Pennsylvania and Charles Artis of Belton, MO; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
