John Crockett

John David Crockett, 32, of Pryor, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in Tulsa. He was born on June 23, 1982 in Tulsa; the son of John Crockett and Karen (Willis) Crockett. John David had a passion for music; playing the piano and guitar. Being extremely artistic and creative, he learned to compose music through computer digitizing and enjoyed listening to industrial and classical music. John David worked for Sisemore-Weisz Surveying as a surveyor, a profession he truly enjoyed. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chouteau. John David was an organ donor, allowing many others to live on through his belief in organ donation. Above all, John David loved his daughters, Cianna and Kyra, and looked forward to spending time with them. He leaves much too soon, but leaves many wonderful memories for each to cherish. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in the Chouteau First Baptist Church in Chouteau with Reverends Ronnie Gaines and Scott Neighbors officiating. Interment will be in the Chouteau North Cemetery with Luke Willis, Tom Yarbrough, Shaheen Nabatian, Aaron Herron, Josh Herron and Phil Scott serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Rhett Pursley, Gabe Grider and the land surveying crew of Sisemore-Weisz Surveying. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2014 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor. John David is survived by his daughters, Cianna Marie Crockett and Kyra Joyce Crockett, both of Chouteau; his mother, Karen and husband, John Roberts of Skiatook, Oklahoma; father, John Crockett of Pryor, Oklahoma; LaCrisha Crockett, mother of children; sisters, Kate Stafford and husband, Derek of Chouteau, OK, Courtney Crockett of Tulsa, OK and Meagan Crockett of Tulsa, OK; maternal grandmother, Retha Willis of Chouteau, OK; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lawrence Willis; paternal grandparents, Jack and Buena Crockett.
