John Dawson

John Randall Dawson, 65, of Chouteau, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at his home. He was born on August 7, 1946 in Vinita, Oklahoma, the son of Francis Marion Dawson and Helen (Fanning) Dawson. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Navy. John worked as a Union Carpenter in Tulsa, Oklahoma, moving from Tulsa in 1976 to the Chouteau area. He married Deborah Noyes in 1970. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing. John was a member of the Carpenters Local #943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was of the Baptist faith. John dearly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services for John will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening. John is survived by his wife, Debbie of the home; his sons, Randall B. Dawson and wife, Wendy of Pryor, OK and Samuel Lee Dawson of Chouteau, OK; his daughter, Penny Lynn Dawson of Chouteau, OK; his sister, Mary Frances Dawson of Bernice, OK; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Kenneth Dawson; one sister, Joann Dawson and his parents.
