John George Wandell

John George Wandell, born on November 16, 1941, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2042, in his home, at the age of 82.

John served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed attending cattle sales and fishing. However, it was his family that brought him the greatest happiness. He was known affectionately as Papa by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom he cherished every moment spent together, creating lasting memories filled with love. 

John is survived by his beloved wife, Fay Wandell, of the home; daughters, Francis Katherine Sample of Vinita, OK, and Michelle Denise Milner and husband Alan of Bristow, OK; and son, Jimmy Wandell of Big Cabin, OK. He also leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren, Tyler Hayes, Galon Sample, Angel Milner, and Andrew Milner, as well as five great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruby Wandell, and his son, John Dale Wandell.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Earnest Lee Martin officiating.
