John Littlefield

John Delano Littlefield, 85, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed this life on Friday, June 29, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on April 8, 1933 in the Cole Community east of Pryor, the son of Frank Oscar Littlefield, Sr. and Pauline Fountia (Conner) Littlefield. John graduated from Pryor High School in 1951. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army from April 6, 1953 until April 5, 1955 when he received his Honorable Release from active duty. John worked in pipelining for several years before working with McDonnell Douglas for 35 years until his retirement. He married Penny McLaughlin on July 2, 1983 and made a wonderful life together. He was a lifetime member of the Pryor Elks Lodge. John enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, in the hay field, fishing and especially mowing. He loved his large family and all the time spent with them.
Funeral Services will be held for John on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 2 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church in Pryor, Oklahoma with Rev. Jerold Pilant and Rev. Rusty Harrison officiating. Casket bearers will be Ray Littlefield, Dale Littlefield, Clay Donaldson, Danny Littlefield, Jr., Michael Taylor, Jacob Hickok, Cody Hickok and Matthew Shinnick. Honorary casket bearers are Bill Boyd, Joe Lay, Clay Earl Rice and Kevin Jackson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Penny Littlefield of the home; his daughter, Keli Littlefield and Fiancé`, Joe Nappo of Jenks, OK; his son, Chad and wife, Brandy Littlefield of Pryor, OK; grandchildren, Johnathan Battles, Garrett Kemp, J.T. Kemp, Emma Kemp and Thatcher Littlefield all of Pryor, OK; his brother Paul (Popeye) and wife, Nancy Littlefield, brother, Danny and wife, Jan Littlefield and sister, Francine Neel all of Pryor, OK; brother-in-law, Jim Taylor of The Woodlands, TX and brother-in-law, Sonny Donaldson of Tulsa, OK; mother-in-law, Eva Sue Watson of Claremore, OK; sister-in-law, Kim and husband, Jack Shinnick of Denver, CO; sister-in-law, Ronda and husband, Leon Wilson of Talala, OK and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Pauline Littlefield; two brothers, Cecil and Frank Jr. Littlefield; two sisters, Norma Taylor and Carol Donaldson; brother-in-law, Robert Neel; nephew, Paul Wayne Littlefield; sister-in-law, Jane Littlefield and nephew, Bob Littlefield.
