Johnny Owens

John Glen Owens, 59, of Pryor, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on April 27, 1956 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the son of Jim and Myrtle (Jeffries) Owens. He worked as a fabricator at the Port of Catoosa most of his life. He looked forward to spending time fishing and watching football. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015 in the Pentecostal Church of God in Pryor with Reverend Junior Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Benge Cemetery in Strang. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Johnny is survived by his mother, Myrtle Owens of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughter, Amber Fuson of Pryor, Oklahoma; grandson, Kadin Lincoln of Pryor, Oklahoma; brother, Jim and wife Bonnie Owens of Braggs, Oklahoma; sisters, Patsy Hughes of Pryor, Oklahoma, Linda Kilgore of Pryor, Oklahoma; Marilyn McGrory and husband James of Oregon, Sandy Gann of Pryor, Oklahoma; and Gallis and husband Estle Cunningham of Pryor, Oklahoma; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Owens and his grandparents.
