Johnny Ragsdale

Johnny Ray Ragsdale, 71, of Pryor, departed from this life on June 16, 2021 in Reno, Nevada. He was born on September 23, 1949 in Odessa, Texas; the son of Leroy Ragsdale and Helen (McDow) Ragsdale. Johnny faithfully served our country in the United States Air Force. After serving, he became an electrician. In 1999, he married the love of his life, Teresa Shock, and they have spent the last 22 years together. In his pastime, he enjoyed fishing, traveling, watching sports of any kind, golf, and bowling. His family described him as the best hugger with a magnetic personality that attracted people to him. Johnny had a big heart and will be so dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Teresa, of the home; son, Johnny Ragsdale Jr. and wife Angela of Pryor; step daughters, Michele Marion and husband Michael of Royal Oak, Michigan and Kelly Phillips and husband Jason of Sugar Hill, Georgia; brothers, Tom Ragsdale of Eucha and Mickey Ragsdale and wife Tammy of Pryor; grandchildren, Charles and Elizabeth Marion, Cody and Daniel Phillips, and Jonathan and Cole Ragsdale. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Helen.
