Joseph Ralston Anello, 93, of Adair, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at his home. He was born on May 26, 1926 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; the son Joseph William and Dorothy (Swartz) Anello. He married the love of his life, Lorina “Kay” Gaither on October 11, 1958 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State. Joseph went to work as a Petroleum Engineer and after many years, retired from Chevron. He has lived in the Adair area for 45 years, coming from Tulsa. In his spare time, he enjoyed going fishing and watching football. Joseph also loved visiting with his family. He was a wonderful man who leaves behind many memories for his family to remember.
Private family graveside services will be held in the Adair Cemetery. There will be a Facebook Live video during the Graveside Service on Shipman's Funeral and Cremation Service facebook page at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2020. Joseph is survived by his son, A.W. “Beau” Anello and wife Cathy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughters, Carol Anello of Adair, Oklahoma and Jodi Hasting and husband Russ of Claremore, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 23 great great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lorina “Kay” Anello; parents, Joseph and Dorothy Anello, sister, Virginia Pfeiffer, great grandson, Blake Hurst; and great great grandson, Cooper Dewey.
