Joyce Chancellor King

Joyce Ann Chancellor King, 73, of Pryor, departed from this life on Monday, August 23, 2021 in Pryor, Oklahoma. She was born on October 11, 1947 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the daughter of Lester Darwin Chancellor and Mary Jane King White. Joyce was a barber and worked at Les’s Barber Shop and in Tulsa. She loved to watch westerns and eat popcorn, cook, and dance. Joyce was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be so dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services for Joyce will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2021, at Euwasha Baptist Church in Kenwood, Oklahoma with Reverend Richard Budder officiating. Burial will follow at Euwasha Cemetery with Tjay Nikkel, Michael Elder, Casen Elder, Ken Nikkel, Jonathan Testerman, and Linwood Sapiel serving as casket bearers. Joyce is survived by her children, Kim Chancellor of Kenwood, Oklahoma and Cherry Nikkel and husband Ken of Del City, Oklahoma; brothers, Alvin King and wife Margie of Kenwood, Oklahoma, Rex Chancellor of Kenwood, Oklahoma, Douglas Chancellor of Kenwood, Oklahoma, and Bryon White of Kenwood, Oklahoma; sisters, Donna Cooper of Pryor, Oklahoma and Mary Belle White of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Tjay Nikkel, Tassha Elder, Wesley Chancellor, and Kayla Porter; great grandchildren, Casen, Gabe, Parker, Rylan, Azlyn, Trevor, Jordan, and Carlee; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Mary; and her grandparents.
