Joyce Creswell

Joyce Anne Creswell, 80, of Pryor, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on November 25, 1939 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; the daughter of Harold and Annette (Lowery) Chesnut. Joyce attended Holland Hall in Tulsa and in TCU in Tulsa and finally earned Master’s Degree in English and worked as an English Teacher for many years at Memorial High School in Tulsa. She also was a substitute teacher for Salina Public Schools. She was married to Gregory Creswell in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 2007 and enjoyed many wonderful years together. Joyce was a strong woman of faith and was a member of Heritage Southern Baptist Church. She was also active throughout her life in teaching Children’s Sunday School Classes. Joyce enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with those she loved most. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2020 in the Heritage Southern Baptist Church with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Gregory Creswell of the home; daughter, Gail Breyman; 1 grandchild, Cameron Walker; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Annette Chesnut.
