Joyce James

Joyce Aleene James, 62, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was born on October 2, 1955; the daughter of Henry Holmes and Allene (Glory) Holmes. She married Pete James in 1973. Joyce enjoyed her flowers and traveling. She dearly loved her family, especially all her grandchildren. Joyce was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Blue Springs Church with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Interment will follow in the Ross-Mayes Cemetery with Aaron Henson, Gabe Henson, Caden James, Gary Henson, Derek Harry and Richard Hicks Jr. serving as casket bearers. She is survived by her husband, Pete James of the home; son, Bo and wife, Tristin James of Salina, OK; daughters, Dana Lacy of Phoenix, Arizona; and Destinee James of Pryor, Oklahoma; brothers, Manuel Holmes of Drycreek, Oklahoma, Richard Holmes of Drycreek, Oklahoma, Henry Holmes, Jr., of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Tony Jones of Stilwell, Oklahoma; sisters, Mildred Bolin of Drycreek, Oklahoma, Evelyn Adair of Conroe, Texas, and Bonnie Cashion of Keys, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Henry Holmes and Allene (Glory) Holmes.
