Joyce Evelyn Jordan, 76, of Pryor, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 in Tulsa. She was born on February 16, 1946 in Pryor; the daughter of Charlie Carl and Goldie (Sharp) Spencer. Joyce owned and operated Jordan’s Jewelry Store with her husband, Buddy, for many years. Her biggest hobby was JJJ Kennels. She raised and showed Champion Maltese and raised a Champion Maltese, “Marshmallow.” Joyce was also a member of the Chouteau Hills Church of Christ for 50 years. She enjoyed putting puzzles together and playing monopoly with her grandson, Jordion. She was the matriarch of the family, a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, who taught her family to have a strong foundation in God. She leaves behind so many memories for her family to cherish.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2023 in the Chouteau Hills Church of Christ in Chouteau with Brother Steve Lay officiating. Burial will follow in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Jay Spencer, Roger Moore, Steve Jordan, Shaun Jordan, Jordan Dion Scruggs, David Joice, Kody Ramsey and David McCollough. Honorary casket bearers will be Shearl Barton, Doug Spencer, Dwayne Spencer, and Craig Coppedge. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor. Joyce is survived by her husband, Buddy Jordan of the home; sons, Steve Jordan of Temple, Texas and Shaun Jordan and wife Jolee of Springfield, Missouri; daughter, Debi Jordan – Thompson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jordan Dion Scruggs, Shelby Nicole Soder, Hunter Scott Jordan and Parker Steven Jordan; great grandchildren, Amelia Soder (Millie) and Sutton Ray Scuggs; sister, JoReta Ramsey of Pryor, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Goldie Spencer; and brother, J.C. Spencer.
