Joyce Qualls

Joyce Mae Qualls, 79, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, May, 18, 2012 in Pryor, Oklahoma. She was born on November 15, 1932 in Pryor, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Powell and Sarah (Musgrave) Powell. She married Jerry Qualls on September 3, 1988 in Pryor, Oklahoma. Joyce enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was a charter member of the Westside Free Will Baptist Church in Pryor. Joyce was a lovely lady of faith who loved her Lord, her family and many friends. Funeral Services for Joyce will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Andy Nichols officiating. Interment will be in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Craig Pierce, Coy McAlvain, Bruce Pritchett, Andy Wolfe, Johnny Nichols and Jerry Stroup serving as casket bearers. Honorary bearer is Cecil Vivian. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Qualls of the home; daughter, Cathy Pierce and Tommy Burns of Locust Grove, OK; her sister, Barbara Pritchett of Pryor, OK; grandchildren, Stephanie and husband, Coy McAlvain and Craig Pierce; great granddaughter, Kinley; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Lowell, Jim, J.D., Ralph, Frank, Clayton Powell; two infant brothers; son-in-law, Steve Pierce.
