Judy Forrister

Judy Ann Forrister, 61, of Owasso, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on July 16, 1955 in Bakersfield, California; the daughter of Earl Henry and Willamina Stiles. Judy worked as a caregiver most of her life and enjoyed what she did. She had a heart for helping people. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball in school. She enjoyed playing bingo, horseshoes and playing the guitar. She also liked to shop and to spend time outdoors. She loved her family and enjoyed all the time they spent together. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Donald Fails officiating. Judy is survived by her son, Joseph Forrister and wife Rachel of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; daughter, Lisa Phillips and husband Brent of Rockwall Texas; two step brothers, Jerry Peeker of Bakersfield, California and Jackie Peeker of Bakersfield, California; one step sister, Marilyn Mooney of Bakersfield, California; 1 grandchild, Tebriel Phillips; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; Earl and Willamina Henry; two brothers, Jerry and James Henry; one step brother, Jimmy Peeker; and sister, Rita Shaw.
