Karen Fine

Karen Sue Fine, 75, of Chouteau, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017 in Chouteau, Oklahoma. She was born on December 4, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; the daughter of Burl A. Chew and Ruby Marie (Smith) Chew. She Graduated from Berryhill High School in Berryhill, Oklahoma in the class of 1960. On January 7, 1978, Karen married Leroy Fine in Boatman, Oklahoma. Karen owned her own business; she worked as a florist at Karen's Flowers in Chouteau and she also had Karen's Beauty Shop in Whitehorn Cove. She loved helping people and she enjoyed the time she was able to spend raising her children and tending to the house. Her grandchildren called her "Magic Nana" because she was good at fixing game systems, or any other problem they faced. She enjoyed crocheting, watching sports on television, such as Thunder basketball, Cardinal and Cub baseball, but her all time favorite sports to watch was her very own grandchildren playing baseball & softball. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed having family over to spend time with them. Karen liked to read the Bible and she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! She loved her children and grandchildren and leaves behind a legacy for them all to cherish. A loving wife, mother, and nana, she was a blessing to all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services for Karen will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., in the Four Corners Church with Brother Dennis Fine and Brother Henry Fine officiating. Burial will be in the Gray Cemetery with Adam Fine, Heath Hendricks, Ryan Hendricks, Randy Simpson, Jarett Gage, and Hunter Alsip serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Gary Fine, Rex Reynolds, Joe Fine, and Blaine Gage. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. She is survived by her husband, Leroy Fine of the home; sons, Rex Reynolds Jr and wife Laurel of Springdale, Arkansas, Joe Fine and wife Dawn of Chouteau, Oklahoma; daughters, Kelly King and husband Harold of Florida, Sheila Simpson of Chouteau, Oklahoma, RaJeana Gage and husband Blaine of Pryor, Oklahoma; grandchildren; Gary Fine, Heather Fine ~ Granger and husband Nathan, Alicia Fine and wife Krislin, Adam Fine and fiancé Kaylynn Waddell, Heath Hendricks and wife Hannah, Jennifer Simpson, Ryan Hendricks and fiancé Jordan Johnston, Randy Simpson, Sarah Reynolds, Jarett Gage and Hunter Alsip; great grandchildren, Jaycie Brege, Truman Granger, Rory Fine, Kayleigh Brege, Marshall Simpson and Dayton Gill. She is preceded in death by her parents, Burl and Ruby Chew; brother, Burl Allen.
