Karla

Karla Marie Lane, 53, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015 at her home. She was born on February 10, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Stan Lowder and Mary Lou (Freauf) Lowder. Karla graduated from East Central High School in Tulsa, Class of 1980. She also attended Oklahoma State University and received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. She married Kerry Lane on May 18, 1985 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to which a baby boy was born Grant Parker Lane. Karla worked for the OU/OSU Medical Center in Tulsa in medical informatics and enjoyed her many coworkers and friends. Karla enjoyed being outdoors and gardening and making her surroundings more beautiful and functional. She enjoyed spending time with Kerry, Grant and her other loved ones. She liked cars, especially her new Fiat, Kerry bought her and the 1965 Ford Galaxy convertible they owned. She enjoyed her dogs, Titan, Lady, Lola and her cat Peaches. Karla will be so very missed by her family and many friends. Funeral Services for Karla will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend K.E. Gerhart officiating. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Monday evening. She is survived by her husband, Kerry of the home; her son, Grant Parker Lane of the home; parents, Stan and Mary Lou Lowder of Bixby, OK; brothers, Tim Lowder of Hixson, TN and Bill Lowder of Tulsa, OK; her sister, Becky Dunn of Dallas, TX; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Grace and Paul Lowder and Aunt & Uncle Oliver and Lura Beckerdite.
