Karon Lynn Smith, 55, passed this life on Thursday, October 27, 2022 in Monahans, Texas. She was born on November, 24, 1966 in Pryor, Oklahoma, the daughter of Earnest Junior Smith and Dorothy Jean (Oakes) Smith. Karon worked for Chapman Dodge in Las Vegas, Nevada working in the parts department for many years. Karon met Bobby Hamill in 2002 and have shared their lives together since that time, living In Texas the last several years. She absolutely loved animals, rescuing many along the way. Karon had many precious pets she cared for at her home in Texas. She was always thinking of others before herself. She would see something she thought someone would like and it would show up in their mailboxes much to their delight. Always caring and thoughtful to everyone she met. She was very creative and hard working. Karon leaves this life much to soon and will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 in the Shipman’s Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Pryor with Roy Eubanks, Rob Harrison, Jamie Smith, Jake Murphy, Gavin Shelton and B.J. Southern serving as casket bearers. Karon is survived by her husband, Bobby Hamill of the home; her brothers, Rick and wife, Linda Smith of Salina, OK; her sisters, Loretta Young and husband, Pokey of Salina, OK, Jean Owens and husband, James of Chelsea, OK; sister-in-law, Lois Smith of Pensacola, FL; three grandsons, Ryan, Asher and Evan; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Dorothy Smith; brother, Melvin Smith; sister, Elizabeth Smith-Gilbert.
