Katherine "Kay" Fowler

November 25, 1938 — June 8, 2020

Katherine “Kay” Louise Fowler, 81, of Chouteau, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 at the Salina Care Center in Salina, Oklahoma. She was born on November 25, 1938 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin; the daughter of Michael and Lilly (Polcar) Donavan. Kay enjoyed sewing, going fishing, and her pets. She also looked forward to spending time with her family and cherished each moment she had to spend with them. Kay also loved listening to Elvis and eating sweet and sour chicken and lemon cake. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Chaplain Kevin Webster officiating. Kay is survived by her son, Ronnie Pierce and wife Nikki of Ransom Canyon, Texas; daughters, Patricia Pierce of Chouteau, Oklahoma and Mary Ann Gillan and husband Martin of New Lisbon, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Autumn Stafford and husband Bryce, Megan Crowell and husband Austin, Zack Pierce, Landen Long, Karen Culligan, Jaime Gillan, Rebecca Bolongag, Martin Gillan, Jessica Thornton, and Renee Thornton. Great grandchildren, Jonnell Gillan, Clark Bolongag, Kallie Jo Crowell and Oliver Bolongag; her pets, Billy and Bee; special mentions, Nichole Keele, to whom Kay thought of as a daughter and to Patrick Jenkerson. Kay had wonderful neighbors, Silva and Stephanie, that were a wonderful help to her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Lilly Donavan; husband, Robert Fowler; and her siblings, Ruth Ray, Mike Donavan, Jr., and Richard Donavan.
