Kathleen “Kathy” Jean Davis, 70, of Pryor, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at her home. She was born on January 22, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; the daughter of John and Arlene McQuaig. She was a member of the Claremore Presbyterian Church. Her church family brought a great amount of joy to her life and she enjoyed attending services and church events. She worked as a homemaker most of her life, enjoying the time she was able to spend raising her children and tending to the house. She adored her grandchildren and loved having them around. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, cutting grass, fishing, and going out to eat. Kathy leaves behind many memories for all to cherish and will be deeply missed. She was a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services for Kathy will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Dave Schwenk and Tim Duerksen officiating. Burial will take place in the Lone Chapel Cemetery with Cameron Davis, Christopher Davis, Marshall Davis, Johnathan Duerksen, Logan McQuaig, and Jason Wilder serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 12, 2021 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. She is survived by her husband, William “Mike” Davis of the home; her mother, Arlene McQuaig; her sons, Christopher Davis and mother Phyllis of Tampa Bay, Florida, Marshall Davis and wife Sarah of Pryor, Oklahoma, and David McQuaig of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her daughters, Cristy Duerksen and Husband Tim of Adair, Oklahoma, and Jeanette Davis of Chicago, Illinois; her brothers, Richard McQuaig and wife Lynn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and David McQuaig and wife Holly of Adair; her sisters, Sharon Lawhorn and husband Tony of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and Margie Tanner of Pryor, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, John McQuaig; and her grandparents.
