Keith Allen Martin, 37, of Chelsea, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Pryor. He was born on October 31, 1981 in Pryor; the son of Jay and Karesa (Gabbard) Martin. Keith was a 2000 graduate of Pryor High School. Soccer was a big part of his life. Keith played Soccer for Pryor High School and still holds the record for the most goals during one game at Pryor High School. He was Allstate in Soccer in 2000, and played for TSC (Tulsa Soccer Club) throughout High School. Keith earned a soccer scholarship from NEOCC in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, where he attended for 2 years. He worked as a farmer, raising beef cows. He took pride in helping his community as a volunteer firefighter for Diamond Head / Lone Chapel Fire Department. He married Ida Hoffman on July 18, 2009 at the St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Pryor and together raised 2 daughters, Kinzi and Brynn. He loved to teach them to play soccer and spend time with them; they were his true joy in life. In his spare time, Keith liked to go fishing, golfing, hunting, and shooting firearms. He also loved to spend time with his friends and playing with his friends’ children as well as his own. He was diagnosed with Melanoma in August of 2015. “When someone has cancer, the whole family and everyone who loves them does too.” Keith was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother, that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in the Church of Christ in Pryor, Oklahoma with Brother Don Nelson and Brother D.J. Castoe officiating. Burial will be in the Adair Cemetery with Blake Peper, Clint Peper, Justin Cooper, Brent Allen, Mike Dunham, Dillon Partain, Nate Colwell, and Marcus Matthews serving as casket bearers.
