Kenneth Crabaugh

Kenneth Crabaugh, 81, of Pryor, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on July 20, 1932 in Adair, Oklahoma, the son of Gene and Iola (Calvert) Crabaugh. He was a pipe fitter most of his life and had been a member of the Pipeliners Union #798 since 1967 and the Carpenters Union in California for several years. Kenny was known around the area as "The Oldest Hippie in Mayes County" by all his friends. He enjoyed playing pool, cards and going to the casino. He loved being surrounded by those he loved most, especially his nephew Eddie Sinor and great nieces Dee Lawrence and Shauna Thomas. He will be so missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2013 in the Shipman Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Bobby Belew officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Shipman Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be Benge Cemetery with Franky Littlefield, Joe Brown, Marvin Hedgepath, Jim Pierson, Louis Briggs, and Johnny Littlefield serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Jim Robbins, Jerry Allen, Tom Kinion, Bill Flood, and Jon Ben Grossman. He is survived by his wife, Susie Crabaugh of the home; 3 sons, Tommy and wife Debbie of Grove, Oklahoma, Michael Crabaugh and wife Leann of Owasso, Oklahoma and Tony Crabaugh of Claremore, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Lisa and husband Steve Young of Claremore, Oklahoma and Laura Crabaugh of Fort Worth, Texas; 1 sister, Lita Grey Bird of Houston, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Teresa Allen and sister, Billie Gann.
