Kenneth “Bean” Leon Montgomery, 71, of Salina, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023 at his home. He was born on May 16, 1951 in Salina; the son of Carl and Leona (Epperly) Montgomery. Kenneth worked various jobs throughout his life, but enjoyed working as a carpenter for many years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed at the creek any chance he could, which in the summertime, was daily. Kenneth loved to go hunting and fishing, and looked forward to going hunting in Colorado with his father and uncles. He was a member of Lakes Area Abate for many years and rode motorcycles all over. He was the life of the party and loved to make those around him laugh. Kenneth was competitive by nature. He loved the game of pool and foosball and chances are, if you played him, you lost. He also loved to throw horseshoes, and usually won more than he lost. He did not like to lose. He had an ornery side, but was thoughtful and kind to anyone who needed help. Kenneth leaves behind many memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
