Kim Song Brecklein, 69, of Chouteau, Oklahoma, passed away on December 2, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on May 29, 1955, Kim dedicated her life to education, creativity, and the joy of nurturing relationships. She served as a beloved English instructor and administrative leader at Tulsa Community College and North Arkansas College, where she inspired countless students with her passion for language and learning. An accomplished artist, Kim expressed her vibrant spirit through oil painting, a talent that brought beauty and meaning to those around her. She also shared her love of crochet. A lifelong learner and teacher, she selflessly taught sign language, opening doors of communication and understanding. Above all, Kim was a devoted mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and friend. Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support were cherished by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, creativity, and compassion lives on through her family and the many lives she touched. Kim’s memory will be lovingly carried forward by her children, grandchildren, extended family, and the community she so dearly loved.

Kim is survived by her son, Joseph Brecklein and wife Lynette of Chouteau, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren, Joseph, Isaac, and Ezra Brecklain of Chouteau, Oklahoma; mother, Wilma Fortner of Chouteau, Oklahoma; sister, Carrie Wilbanks of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Fortner, husband, Joseph Brecklein, Jr., and sister, Victoria Fortner.
