Larry McClelland

Larry Junior McClelland, 61, of Pryor, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 in Tulsa. He was born on January 24, 1960 in Fairfax, Oklahoma; the son of Junior and Dorie (Shrum) McClelland. Larry worked in the tree trimming industry most of his life. He owned and operated L & M Tree Trimming Service in Pryor. In his spare time, he enjoyed going on the boat, fishing, and playing pool. He also looked forward to Saturday nights at Salina Highbanks Speedway. He was a member of Light House Christian Center. Larry loved his family and especially enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s sporting events any time he was able. He leaves behind many memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Wilhite officiating. Burial will follow in the Benge Cemetery with Charlie Taylor, Charlie Moore, Johnny Moore, Darrell Moore, Kenny Moore, and Randy Monroe serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Sammy DeArmond, Timmy DeArmond, and Raymond Chandler. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 31, 2021 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Larry is survived by his sons, Brandon McClelland and wife Jessica of Pryor, Oklahoma, Anthony McClelland and wife Crystal of Texas, Mikey McClelland of Pryor, Oklahoma, and Matt Chance ad wife Jessie of Kenwood, Oklahoma; daughters, Sandy Smith and husband Jamie of Pryor, Oklahoma and Teria Hoover and husband Herman of Muskogee, Oklahoma; brother, James Moore of Pryor, Oklahoma; and sister, Deloris Dunback and husband Freddy of Eucha, Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Dorie (Shrum) McClelland; wife, Teresa McClelland; sisters, Rose, Shirley, and Sue; and brothers, Johnny and Paul.
