Lena Jones, 92, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in the Parks Edge Nursing Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on February 15, 1918 in Gideon Township, Cherokee County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Denver C. Sullivan and Vera E. (Rice) Sullivan. She married Carlton Jones on February 6, 1942 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. They moved to California where she worked for and retired from Stanley Home Products. Lena was active in the First Free Will Baptist Church in Pryor when her health allowed. She was a wonderful lady who loved her Lord and her family. Even though she never had children of her own she helped to raise her brothers and sisters, being second of ten children. She loved her nieces and nephews like her own. Lena was a very strong, independent lady who leaves a legacy of love for her family to cherish.
