Leoma Fox

Leoma Faye Fox 86 of Pryor passed away Monday August 2, 2010 in Tulsa. Faye was born September 27, 1923 in Salt Springs, Oklahoma, the daughter of Oscar and Inez (Sharkey) Powders. She married Leland Fox on September 3, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas. They had celebrated 58 years of marriage. Faye worked 17 years at Cherokee Toggs and 11 years for Fabricut. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and most of all spending time with her family. She loved to quilt and work search puzzles. She was a lovely lady who will be very missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 10:00 am in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Benson officiating. Interment will follow in the Hogan Cemetery, Locust Grove, Oklahoma. She is survived by 3 sons, Ernie Fox and wife Laura of Pryor, OK; Stanley Fox and wife Pam of Pryor, OK; Ronnie Fox and wife Donna of Chouteau, OK; 2 sisters, Leota Reed of Henryetta, OK and Bonnie Wishert of Whorten, TX; 2 brothers, Cleo Powders of Henryetta, OK and Max Powders Elkland, MO; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Inez Powders, her husband Leland Fox, 2 brothers, Archie and Johnny Powders, and one grandson, Stanley L.Fox Jr.
