Leonard Rasmussen

Leonard William Rasmussen, 79, of Adair, Oklahoma, passed away on, Friday, July 13, 2018 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on February 23, 1939 in Mitchell, South Dakota, the son of Arthur Rasmussen and Elizabeth (Crogman) Rasmussen. Leonard faithfully served his Country in the United States Navy for four years. Leonard worked as a Precision Measurement Equipment Specialist for Mare Island Navy Base in California until his retirement. He married Luisa DeRoque on April 16, 1966. After retirement he enjoyed raising chickens and pheasants. He also enjoyed selling at flea markets and watching rodeo and horse racing on television. He loved his family and all the time he could spend with each one. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Luisa Rasmussen of Adair, Oklahoma; his sons, Gerald Rasmussen and William Rasmussen both of Claremore, OK; daughter, Martha Hanna and husband, Jeff McCutcheon of Adair, OK; sister, Hannah Pentacost of Kenwick, WA and Dorsey Carr of Greenview, NB; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death parents, Arthur and Elizabeth Rasmussen; sisters, Margaret Nims and Clara Tupa; brothers, Leroy, Vernon and Lou Rasmussen.
