Lillie Head

Lillie Ruth Head, 91, of Pryor, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at her home. She was born on October 10, 1929 in Farris, Oklahoma; the daughter of Jess and Doll (Hall) Storie. She graduated from Atoka High School and has lived in the Mayes County area for 20 years, coming from Antlers, Oklahoma. She was lovingly known as “Granny” to all who knew and loved her. Granny loved to go dancing in her early years and enjoyed being active. She was a dedicated and hard worker throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and loved to take her grandkids swimming at the lake, so that she would also have a chance to fish. She was a lady of many talents and worked as a carpenter for her own home. Granny tore down walls to refurbish her house and framed in and built a huge rock patio. In her later years, she painted, embroidered and crocheted. Granny still loved to cook for her grandkids and spend time with them when she could. Granny loved her Lord, her children, grandchildren, and family. She leaves behind so many wonderful memories for her family to cherish.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m, Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Bill and Joeann Storie officiating. Lillie is survived by her sons, Derrial Head and wife Chanda of San Angelo, Texas and Dwain Head and Wife Linda of Farris, Oklahoma; daughter, Lesa Morris and husband Chris Morris of Pryor, Oklahoma; brothers, Leon Storie and wife Cleo of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Alfred Store and wife Charlene of Foyil, Oklahoma, and Bill Storie and wife Joeann of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Zetta Ketterling and husband Ted of Antlers, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Doll Storie; daughter, Lana Milam; son in law, Tommy Milam; grandson, Barry Pearson; and brother, Leon Storie.
