Linda Kay Twist

July 14, 1944 — May 15, 2024

Pryor

Linda Kay Twist went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 15th , 2024. Born on July 14th,1944 to Eula Mae Lentz and Frank Lentz, Linda spent the majority of her life in Tulsa. She was a Tulsa girl whose love for music landed her first job at Bill T’s Record Store. After graduating from Central High School, Linda was blessed with two wonderful sons, Scott Manley and Steven Twist, whom she loved beyond measure and were her light of her life. She married her soul mate Tony Twist in 1992 and spent those cherished years with Tony. They were inseparable, whether it was seeing Tony sing on stage, dancing the night away, traveling in the RV, or visiting with friends and family. Then once the grandkids came, they were her everything.

She always said the greatest days of her life was having her two boys, the day she married her best friend, time with her four grandkids, and knowing her cherished friends for over 40 years, Ann and Joyce, and the many other friends she calls family.

A stranger is a friend you have not met, yet…Those words embodied Linda Kay Twist to a tee. If you ever had the chance to meet Linda you knew she was one-of-a-kind! You were blessed to experience her love for God, her wonderful sense of humor, her love for her friends and family, and you never left empty-handed, whether it was food or some other little gift. God may have made her little but she was a force to be reckoned with! Her door was always open, and her phone was always on speed dial for many, day or night! Linda has made many life-long friends over the years. She touched so many people and aggravated twice as many. She loved you all like family. We thank you for all the wonderful friendships she has had over the years.

Her love of the Lord was apparent to all who knew her. She loved to hand out the “Give it to God” boxes or the “Scientist vs God” frames she made for people to be a light in times of darkness. She was a godly mother not only to our family but to many. Her Lord and Savior called her home as her mission here on Earth is complete. Well done, good and faithful servant. (Matthew 25:21)

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Tony Twist, along with her parents, Eula and Frank Lentz, her
brothers, Bo and Lloyd Barbee, and sister Fern Aery.

She is survived by son Douglas Scott Manley, wife Dawn Marie Manley along with their two kids Matthew Dugan Manley and Sierra Maitland Manley, son Steven Lynn Twist and his son Zachary David Twist and wife Olivia Twist and his daughter Alyssa Renee Twist, sister-in-law Margaret Barbee, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
