Lorene England

Lorene (Scott) England, 70, of Pryor, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in Sedgwick, Kansas. She was born on February 9, 1946 in Leedy, Oklahoma. She was the fifth child of 5 children of John V. and Louise Scott. She married Jerry England on July 30, 1967 and to that union, had one child, Denise. Lorene loved her family, children, gardening, and bird watching. She spent 35 years as a caregiver for her mother until she was unable to do so. She also was a caregiver for children for several years at A Time To Grow child care center in Pryor, Oklahoma. She moved to Diversicare Nursing Facility in Sedgwick, Kansas on February 28, 2016 to be near her mother and family. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 2, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor with Brother Jon Ketcher officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Jim Stone, Butch Dobbs, Kieth Scott, Donald Rogers, Kermit McGinn, Karson McGinn and Tommy Trundle serving as honorary casket bearers. She is survived by her mother, Louise Scott of Sedgwick, Kansas; granddaughter, Sabra Kucher and husband of San Antonio, Texas; grandson, Yosef Tortomosi and wife of San Antonio, Texas; four great grandsons; sister, Carol Shipman of Sedgwick, Kansas; brother, Kieth Scott and wife Susan of Columbus, Nebraska; aunt, Sarah Reiss of Lubbock, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry England, daughter, Denise England, father, John V. Scott, and brothers, Verdell and Vernie Scott.
