Louetta Renee Chidester, born on May 24, 1978, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, departed this life on Monday, January 20, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 46. She was a beloved mother, sister, daughter, Mimi, and friend, cherished by all who knew her. She married Robert Chidester on December 2, 2005, and they spent many wonderful years together before his passing in 2022.
Louetta was known for her vibrant spirit and her deep love for family. She is survived by her children, Nichole Smith and husband Anthony of Salina, OK, Kaci Chidester, and Ayden Curtis Chidester, both of the home. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Kayden Smith, Piercelynn Smith, Kinsley Smith, and Clover Smith, who were the joy of her life. In addition to her immediate family, Louetta is remembered by her father, Allen Burrough, and wife, Martha Quick. She is also survived by her brother, David Burrough and his wife Jennifer of Pryor, OK; her sister, Andrea Gutierrez and husband Trystin of Tahlequah, OK; and mother-in-law, Diana Chidester.
Louetta's life was filled with passions that brought her immense joy. She enjoyed playing bingo with her mother-in-law, crafting, fishing, and shopping. Additionally, Louetta loved going over the road with Robert on his truck. She was also an avid animal lover and her dogs would follow her everywhere she went at home. Louetta found great fulfillment in cooking and hosting family gatherings. She cherished the simple pleasures of life, which included picking pecans and going to the creek with her family. She took pleasure in gardening, whether cultivating beautiful flowers or growing tomatoes. Renee will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Chidester, whose memory she held dear, alongside her mother, Rita Sellers. Louetta also mourned the loss of her brother, Stephen Burrough, and bonus mother, Bonnie Smith. Her familial ties were further deepened by the memories of her grandmother, Hazel Bryant, and her aunt, Alieca "Lisa" Whitener, as well as her father-in-law, Bobby Chidester.
