Lupe Rodriguez

Guadalupe Mata Rodriguez, 70, of Pryor, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on July 7, 1950 in Cameron, Texas; the daughter of Guadalupe Mata and Aurora Arellano. Lupe loved to go shopping and looked forward to traveling, especially traveling abroad and seeing new sights. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her family and friends. Lupe attended the Community of Christ Church in Vinita and was a lovely woman of faith. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and sister who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor. Visitation will also be held from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Lupe is survived by her husband, Tito Rodriguez; son, Alex Pelayre and wife Lisa of Seattle, Washington; daughter, Penelope Pelayre of Seattle, Washington; brothers, Richard Mata of Temple, Texas and Hector Arellano of Skidmore, Texas; twin sister, Janie Theys of Vinita, Oklahoma; sisters, Anna Marie Galvan of Rosenberg, Texas, Angie Allen of Richmond, Texas, Rhonda Salinas and husband Gilbert of Bastrop, Texas and Farrah Roque and husband Patrick of Bastrop, Texas; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Aurora Mata; and 2 brothers, Robert Mata and Manuel Mata.
