Mable Louise Nunley was born September 13, 1934 at home in Salina, Oklahoma to William "Bill" Soldier and Sallie Jane Tanner. She passed from this world into the Eternal life on May 21, 2012 at the age of 77 years, 8 months, and 8 days, at the Grace Living Center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Mable had lived in Tahlequah for 24 years, but home was always in Salina. She lived in the Salina area for most of her life, she moved around to the Collinsville, Owasso and Tulsa areas, while settling in Tahlequah, where she helped raise Cherlyn, while Patty went to College. Mable enjoyed playing bingo at Keetoowah and other halls around the area. She enjoyed going shopping with her sisters at the G W Boutique, loved listening to her brother Jr's gospel band play, and to listen to country music. She enjoyed reading murder mystery books and horror books; she also loved to watch horror and western movies on television. She enjoyed going to the Tanner reunions. She was a lovely lady who will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services for Mable will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2012 in the First Indian Baptist Church in Salina, Oklahoma with Reverend Bridge Chuckluck officiating. Interment will be in the Grass Cemetery at New Jordan with Jessie Arndt, Eric Rock, Rob Rogers, Zack Rogers, Brian Soldier, and Kalan Bolinger serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Robert Eugene Soldier, Donald Soldier, William Soldier, Jr., Bob Rogers, Cle Simon and Bill Pickup. Visitation will be held at the Shipman's Funeral Cremation Service chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Thursday evening. The wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m., also on Thursday evening. Mable is survived by 1 son, Ray Proctor, Jr. of Tahlequah; 1 granddaughter, Cherlyn Cather; 1 great grand dog, Sydney of the home in Tahlequah; 1 grandson, Jessie Arndt of Tulsa, OK; 4 brothers, Richard Soldier, Robert Soldier, Donald Soldier, and William Soldier, Jr., all of Salina, OK; 2 sisters, Mary Simon of Chouteau, OK, and Loren and husband Bob Rogers of Park Hill, many other nieces, nephews, honorary grandchildren, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Nunley; 2 daughters, Patty Sue and Margie Ann Proctor; 1 granddaughter, Jessica Rae Proctor; 1 sister, Flora Soldier, and her parents.
