Margie's commitment and hard work were unparalleled. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, she retired in 1993 after many years of service.
Education played an integral role in Margie's life. She graduated from Strang High School in 1945 and cherished her time as a basketball player on the school team. Margie's passion for the game was palpable and fueled her competitive spirit.
One of Margie's greatest joys came from living in the country and growing up on a farm. The tranquility of nature, the beauty of the land, and the simple pleasures that came with rural living brought immense happiness to her life. She had great memories of working the fields with her sisters and brother. She cherished the memoires of walking to Sunday School and church at Welch and Cole. Being taught to Love God and believe the Bible led to a personal faith in Christ which upheld her all the days of her life.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Henry Harrison. also, by her sisters Marie McClellan, Mildred Littlefield, Velsa Walker, and Zella Sewell, as well as her brother Bobby Sewell. Margie's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, but her memory will be forever cherished.
