Margie Pearl McGee - Richmond, 80, of Peggs, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her home. She was born on September 18, 1936 in Catoosa, Oklahoma; the daughter of Pearl Thomas and Fannie (Jackson) Slater. She attended Tulsa Schools and graduated from Central High School in Tulsa. Margie married John Henry McGee on May 29, 1959 and together had 3 children. She was a member of the Peggs Freewill Baptist Church and loved to attend church events. After his passing, she married Ray Richmond on July 23, 2014 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Margie loved the outdoors, and enjoyed going camping, fishing and going to the creek. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Margie looked forward to spending time with her family, especially when it came to being with her grandchildren. She leaves behind many wonderful memories for her family and friends to cherish and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the Peggs Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Phil Buford officiating. Burial will follow in the Wofford Cemetery in Catoosa with Josh McGee, Matt McGee, Jeff McGee, Justin Dewey, Levi Dewey and Jacob Dewey serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be David Spencer and Dennis Clark. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Margie is survived by her husband, Ray Richmond of the home; sons, Danny McGee and wife Cindy of Coweta, Oklahoma and Robert McGee and wife Debbie of Haskell, Oklahoma; daughter, Linda Walker of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren and 16 and a half great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Fannie Slater, and her sister Bonnie Helt, and her brothers T. J. Slater, Harvey Slater, and Herman Slater.
