Obituary for Marian Smith, 82, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on August 15, 1933 in Kenwood, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Cochran and Nellie (King) Cochran. She worked as a Certified Medical Aid for Shady Rest Nursing Home. Marion enjoyed watching western shows, especially Bonanza and Walker Texas Ranger. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and quilting. Marian was an active member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Salina, Oklahoma. She rarely missed a church service. She was a lovely lady who will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016 in the Lakeview Baptist Church in Salina, Oklahoma. Interment will follow in the Grass Cemetery with her grandsons serving as casket bearers, Brandon, Justin, Skake, Patrick, Chad, Jeremy, Eric, Shane, Spencer, Sean, Aaron, Daylen, Wahoo, Brandt, Jason and Wade. She is survived by her children, Larry and wife, Cindy Chancellor, Frank Smith of Tulsa, OK, Gene and wife, Tarra Smith of Pryor, OK, Dale Smith of Salina, OK, Carl Smith of Salina, OK, Joyce and husband, Rob Chambers of Salina, OK, Pat Beaver of Salina, OK and Clarissa and husband, Charlie Gilley of Salina, OK; brothers, Bill Cochran of Chouteau, OK and Robert and wife, Kathy Cochran of Chouteau, OK; sisters, Betty Arthurs of Salina, OK and Leann and husband, Earl Davis of Kenwood, OK; 31 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nellie Cochran; her husband, Clarence Smith, one son, Jerry Chancellor and 2 sisters, Lorene Willman and Eunice Backward; one brother, Wesley Cochran.
