Mark Lewis King, 64, of Kenwood, passed from this life on Monday, February 21, 2022, at his daughter’s home in Owasso surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was born on October 27, 1957 to Clarence and Emma (Raper) King. He lived in the Peggs area most of his life and worked in construction as a home builder for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Mark also loved to play baseball and basketball, shooting pool and a good game of dominoes (as long as he was winning). Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He leaves behind many memories for all to cherish and will be dearly missed.
Funeral services for Mark will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 28, 2022, at the Euwasha Baptist Church with Sister Edna Kiddy officiating. Burial will follow at the Euwasha Cemetery with Forrest Gardner, Eric Smith, Jonathan Testerman, Joseph Sapiel, Virgil Dry, and Daryle Budder serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Alvin King and Greg Pickup. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m., until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 27, 2022 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Mark is survived by his sons, Elijah King and Kimberly of Owasso, and Jordan King of Peggs; his daughters, Miranda King of Peggs, and Tammy King of Owasso; his brother, Timothy King and Angela of Rocky Ford; his sisters, Rita Drywater and Tony of Chouteau, and Annette King of El Reno; and 7 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Emma; brothers, Junior and J.B. King; and sisters, Kathy King, Anita Creekkiller, Emma King, and Mary Ruth.
