Mark Allen Terrill, a loving husband, caring father, dedicated military veteran, and esteemed professor, peacefully passed away on June 18, 2024, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was born on April 18, 1962, in Lockney, Texas; the son of Jack Allen and Edna Ann (Froese) Terrill. On July 24, 1993, Mark joined hearts with Blandina in marriage in Monterey, California. Together they shared a bond strengthened by love and understanding that served as an inspiration to those around them. Mark devoted over 22 years of his life to serving in the United States Navy and excelled as a civil engineer within the military. His passion for construction management led him to share his knowledge as a professor at John Brown University. Mark's commitment to his work was unwavering, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of learning from him. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mark's true essence shone through his love for faith and community. A faithful member of Eden Mennonite Church in Inola, he lived his life guided by the teachings of the Lord. His spiritual presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He also dedicated much of his time and resources to support of missionaries and to the church. In his leisure time, Mark found joy in various hobbies and interests that brought him closer to his loved ones. From coaching a shooting team at the Tulsa Gun Club to indulging in music, reading, and memorization of scriptures, he found peace in simple pleasures. Mark's dedication also extended to home improvement projects, reflecting his resourcefulness and creativity.
Mark Allen Terrill's legacy lives on through his surviving loved ones including his beloved wife Blandina Terrill of the home; sons, Israel Terrill and wife Aisha of Olathe, Kansas and Daniel Terrill and wife Jillian of Inola, Oklahoma; daughters, Abby Terrill of Boulder, Colorado and Bethel Terrill and fiancé, Cord Sabbatini of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren, Eva, Ilsa, and Winry; sister, Liz Troncoso and husband Pat of Gallup, New Mexico; and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Edna Terrill.
Services to honor Mark will take place at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024, in the Eden Mennonite Church with Pastor Dave Wiens officiating. Burial will follow in the Eden Mennonite Cemetery with military honors being presented. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2024, at Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service in Pryor. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Eden Mennonite Church for the purpose of donation to Voice of the Martyrs in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
