Mary Davis

Mary Christine Davis, 80, of Bixby, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on May 12, 1932 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Felix Reece and Girtie Ester (Morrison) Reece. She married John Louis Davis spent her life making a home for her family. She was a member of the Rosehill Covenant Church in Tulsa. Mary loved reading and studying the Bible. She was an accomplished piano player, singer and enjoyed ministering to all. Mary was dedicated to helping and teaching people about the Lord regardless of their circumstances. She had a true spirit of compassion for all that knew her. She was a lovely lady who loved her Lord and her family. She will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 3 p.m. in the Hogan Cemetery at Locust Grove with Pastor Charles Jennings officiating. Interment will follow with Michael Garner, Chris Garner, David Ayres, Dale Michaels and Daniel Goodwin serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday. She is survived by her children, Johnny Garner and wife, Mickie of Locust Grove, OK, Larry Garner and wife, Linda of Spavinaw, Ok, Sean and wife, Vickie Davis of Broken Arrow, OK; Linn Garner of Bixby, OK and Micki Rosemary Davis and Tracy Gilligan of Tulsa, OK; cousins, Beverly Makaula Baldwin of Sand Springs, OK and Andrea Bennett of Tulsa, OK; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends, including Bill Todd, a friend and companion up to the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1988; her parents, Felix and Girtie Reece; three sisters, Evelyn Reece, Nellie Reece and Phyllis Butler; one brother, Rufus Reece.
