Mary Jones

Mary Kathryn Jones, 73, of Adair, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on April 16, 1940; the daughter of William & Agnes (Hanna) Dunham. She married Bill Jones on July 1, 1957 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Mary enjoyed fishing and basketball. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, circle words, and reading the bible. She had a special love for her grandchildren and spending time with those she loved most. She will be remembered by all the wonderful memories she leaves behind and will be so missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2013 in the Utopia Baptist Church in Adair, Oklahoma with Reverend Lynn Jones and Reverend Randy Thorman officiating. Interment will be in the Benge Cemetery in Strang with Gary Jones, Wes Jones, Adam McDaniel, Bill Turner, Mike Wilson, and Rowdy Malchow serving as casket bearers. Mary is survived by her husband, Bill Jones, of the home; 2 sons, Gary and wife Sandi Jones of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Wes Jones of Adair, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Jerry Dunham of Pensacola, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Axie Walker of Spavinaw, Oklahoma and Louise Vargas of Dewey, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; 1 daughter, Joyce (Doity) Jones; 2 sisters, Cherry Turner and Mable Wilson; 3 brothers, Reverend Bill Dunham, Jim Dunham and Bobby Dunham.
