Mary Arnedith Parks, 51, of Bristow, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 at her home. She was born on June 25, 1963 in Yuba City, California, the daughter of Charles M. Dowty and Barbara (Clonts) Dowty. Mary loved reading. She loved going to church and taught Sunday school for several years. Mary dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and spent many hours playing with them. She was more backward by nature but was well liked by everyone. She was a very strong person and had dealt with many hardships over the last few years, but overcome them with a smile on her face. She was a lovely lady of faith who will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services for Mary will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 1 p.m. in the Westside Holiness Church in Claremore, Oklahoma, with Reverends, Bill Parks, Curtis Watts and Gary Edenfield officiating. Interment will follow with Reverend Floyd Parks officiating graveside in Dawes Cemetery at Chelsea, Oklahoma. Casket bearers are Steve Johnson, Bro. Keith Cherry, Bro. Kenny Crawford, Chris Cheetwood, Alvin "PeeWee" Perry and James Farmer. Honorary casket bearers are Curtis Watts and Justin Rogers. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Dowty of Paden, OK; her children, Dustin and wife, Bridget Parks of Sapulpa, OK, Deric Parks of Catoosa, OK; April and husband, Justin Rogers of Pryor, OK; brother, Bobby Dowty of Paden, OK, sisters, Laquitta and husband, Don Pitts of Sterling, KS and Loree McDaniel of Blair, OK; grandchildren, Adam, Trevor, Chase, Emma, and twins to be born in July; father and mother-in-laws, Reverend Floyd and wife, Alveta Parks of Eucha, OK; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Parks; father, Charles M. Dowty; brother-in-law, James McDaniel.
