Mary Belle Anderson, 80, of Salina, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her home. She was born on January 24, 1939 in Salina, Oklahoma; the daughter of Ras and Ethel (Livingston) Phelan. She graduated from Salina High School in 1957. Mary Belle played the piano for many years at Little Brewer Church in Salina. She looked forward to going to yard sales, playing bingo, going bowling and fishing. She also had fond memories of helping her husband Dean build their house from the ground up. She was a wonderful mother, wife and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Blue Springs Church in Salina with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Mary Belle is survived by her children, Tammy Dewey and husband Wesley of Salina, Oklahoma, Nanetta Thompson and husband Joe of Salina, Oklahoma, Lynn Phelan and wife Terrie of Salina, Oklahoma, and Karen Marble and husband Jerry of Salina, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Terrence Dewey and wife Chelsea of Salina, Oklahoma and Meagan Dewey and Matthew Geisler of Adair, Oklahoma; great-granddaughter, Emerie Geisler; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ras and Ethel Phelan, husband, Dean Anderson, and brothers, Dick Phelan and J.L. “Sonny” Phelan.
