Maureen Gaynell Sandusky, 80, of Pryor, passed away on January 27, 2012 at her home. Maureen was born on June 9, 1931 in Chouteau, Oklahoma, the daughter of Noah Oxford and Sharlotte (Henry) Oxford. She married Homer Sandusky on December 19, 1950. Homer and Maureen started Sandusky Market in 1952. She enjoyed going to garage sales, going to homeland, and gardening. She loved going on girls trips and spending time with everyone around her. She loved and enjoyed her two granddaughters, Melissa and Adyson. Maureen will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 10 a.m., in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 p.m. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday. Maureen is survived by her two sons; Leslie Teresa Sandusky of Pryor, Ok, James Leslie Ann Sandusky of Pryor, OK, 2 granddaughters; Melissa Sandusky and Adyson Sandusky of Pryor, Ok. She is also survived by many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer, her infant grandson, Matt Levon Sandusky and her parents.
