Olier Melvin Gaile (Mel), beloved husband, father, brother, and son, peacefully passed away at his home on October 31st of 2023. He was born in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Olier Gaile and Willie Mae (Hodge) Gaile on July 26th of 1941. Mel was a proud US Army Veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding, boating, scuba diving, and flying. Mel enjoyed his last years living by the lake in the woods with his wife Neva, feeding the deer, and being outside. His quick wit and dry sense of humor made many lasting memories and he enjoyed every moment with his friends and family. Mel had a very strong work ethic. He was always providing for his family. Building was a family tradition. He built many houses including log homes. Mel got into truck driving and spent many years going across the country, then onto instructing drivers and dispatching. Mel leaves behind a legacy of resilience, strength, and love. His kind-hearted nature, adventurous spirit, and dedication to his family will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
