Michael John Lujan, also known by many as Taco, 67, of Claremore, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023. He was born in Durango, Colorado to Gilbert and Elidia Lujan but spent most of his life in Claremore with his loving family.
Michael served in the United States Air Force for seven years and later went on to work for Spirit Aero Systems in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he was a dedicated employee for 37 years.
In addition to his military and professional accomplishments, one of Michael's proudest accomplishments was owning and operating Mom and Pops Ceramic Shoppe with his wife. He always enjoyed visiting with anyone that came through the shop's doors. Michael appreciated every moment of quality time with his grandchildren who brought him endless joy.
Michael had many hobbies and interests; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching TV, attending car shows and admiring classic cars. He was also known for being quite a prankster. He enjoyed pulling pranks on family and friends, especially when it came to scaring his grandkids. He lived his life well every day and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Robin Lujan of the home; daughters Amber Woods and husband Gorden of Claremore, OK, Ashley Chapman of Claremore, OK, and Emmalee Shriver and husband Tanner of Claremore, OK; brothers Steve Lujan of Phoenix AZ, Gabe Lujan of Herriman UT, Phil Lujan of Farmington, NM; sisters Chris Lujan Houston TX, Pat Lujan Bayfield CO., Andrea Gillette also of Bayfield; grandchildren Sierrah Lujan and Floyd Ratcliff, Adeline McComb, Jacoby and Elydia Shriver all of Claremore; one great-granddaughter Vanessa Ratcliff and one great grandbaby on the way; and mother-in-law, Bernice Baisden of Claremore.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Elidia Lujan as well as his sister Marlene Lujan; and father-in-law, Enslow (Bill) Baisden. May they take comfort in knowing that he lived a full and happy life, and that his memory will always remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to have known him.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 7, 2023, in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors John Martin and Glen Seaton officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor.
