Michael Nicholson

Michael Nicholson, 60, of Strang, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in McAlester, Oklahoma. He was born on July 25, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio; the son of Robert and Marie (Patton) Nicholson. He worked most of his life as a Forklift Operator at Umicore. Michael loved the outdoors; especially fishing, camping and hunting. He looked forward to spending time riding motorcycles and watching OU football. Above all, Michael loved his grandchildren and attending all their school activities and sporting events. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation for Michael will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. No formal services are planned. Michael is survived by his wife, Janet Nicholson of the home; his son, Billy Nicholson and wife Brandy of Dallas, Texas; his daughter, Cassie Ramsey and husband Kevin Ramsey of Strang, Oklahoma; mother, Marie Nicholson of Claremore, OK; sister, Ledina Nicholson of Catoosa, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren, Katelyn, Trenton, Brooklyn, and Logan. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert (Bob) Nicholson.
