Mickie Rainwater

Obituary for Mickie Rainwater, 80, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at her home. She was born on February 14, 1935 in Pryor, Oklahoma, the daughter of Boyd and Della Lee (Blair) Thompson. She married Glen Rainwater on May 17, 1952 in Claremore, Oklahoma. They had celebrated over 62 years of marriage. Mickie enjoyed crocheting. She was a member of the North Elliott Church of God, enjoying gospel singing and fellowship there. She loved her Lord and her family. She was a lovely lady of faith who leaves many wonderful memories for all to cherish. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the North Elliott Church of God with Reverend Robert Killman officiating. Interment will follow in the Lone Chapel Cemetery with Dwin Thompson, John Rainwater, Darrel Thompson, Randy Thompson, Michael Patton and Wes Martin serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Chuck Frank, Keith Walden and Grady Rainwater. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mickie is survived by her husband, Glen of the home; her sons, Greg and wife, Carol Rainwater of Pryor, OK and Anthony and wife, Cindy Rainwater of Pryor, OK; her brothers, Henry and wife, Deann Thompson of Pryor, OK, Von Thompson and wife, Teresa of Pryor, OK and Don Thompson of Pryor, OK; her sisters, Shirley Thompson of AR, Delorus Rainwater of Pryor, OK; five grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Della Lee Thompson; one son, Marlan Rainwater; 2 brothers, Norman Thompson and Bethel Thompson; 3 sisters, Lucretia Henshaw, Hazel Walden, and Carolyn Patton.
