Norman Edward Baker, 79, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at his home. He was born on January 22, 1938 in Tehachapi, California, the son of Harry Frank Baker and Kittie Mae (Cunningham) Baker. Norman worked as a steel worker for Midwest Conveyor. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, landscaping or even mowing the grass. Norman enjoyed the game of chess and also social media debates. He was a member of TOPS (taking off pounds sensibly). He was the King of Oklahoma of 2009. Norman loved his family and all the time he could spend with them. He enjoyed living near the lake with his wife, Janet. Norman will be remembered in all the memories he leaves behind.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Janet of the home; his son, Mark Baker of Springfield, MO; his daughters, Debbie and husband, Gary Price of Stockton, MO, Norma Hall of Springfield, MO, Jaimie and husband Roger Henderson of Pryor, OK, Mary and husband, Carl Ford of Pryor, OK; sisters, Louis and Husband, Bill Atwood of Lebanon, MO, Stella Grissom of Lebanon, MO, and Lois Hallmark of Kansas City, MO; 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Kittie Mae Baker; his son, Roger; twins, Denise and Dennis; his sister, Karen.
