Odie Henderson

Odie Allen Henderson, 79, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born on February 10, 1936 in Onapa, Oklahoma, the son of Floyd Allen Henderson and Oleta Vera (Williams) Henderson. He moved to Oklahoma from Lamont, California. Odie married Lillie Mae Green in 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army. Odie worked at the California Portland Cement Plant as a machinist and welder for 10 years. He was a member of the Bakersfield American Legion. Odie was a rental manager there. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping and gardening. Odie attended the Salina First Baptist Church since 2007. He leaves many wonderful memories for his family and friends to cherish and remember. Funeral Services for Odie will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Salina First Baptist Church with Reverend Johnny Fought officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery at Inola. Henderson of Salina, OK; daughter Karen Epperson of Bakersfield, CA; brothers, Bill Henderson of Bakersfield, CA and Joe Henderson and wife, Pat of Avenal, CA; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Oleta Henderson; son, Lee Allen Henderson and a granddaughter, Cassandra Henderson; two brothers, Donald Henderson and Dan C. Henderson.
